STEALING HEARTS SINCE 2012
If you’ve spotted our furry mate in our videos, then you’ve likely fallen in love with Homey - the Safety Officer, just like we did! Don't be fooled by the Safety Officer title though, Homey sees himself more as a guard dog, patrolling his domain (which might involve strategic napping) and keeping a watchful eye on things. He's quite active for his age, and loves to run around and make a little mischief when he's not on duty. Homey is definitely a ‘mummy’s boy’ and cuddles with Karen the most, but obeys commands best when Kurtis is the one giving them. Sharing his unique personality with our viewers is always fun but because he’s usually on top security duty at home he doesn’t often greet visitors at the office during work hours - but we’ll be sure to keep sharing his mischievous moments and staffy enjoyment on our videos!
HOMEY’S NAME
Homey's name is a heartwarming tribute to Kurtis’ first English Staffy named Homeless. Unlike Homey, however, Kurtis's first dog wasn't named Homeless by design. The poor pup had no name when Kurtis found him, and with his sad and lost demeanour, "Homeless" just seemed to fit and the name stuck. The first Homeless crossed the rainbow bridge many years ago, but because the name was so unique we decided to use it again, and his memory now lives on in Homey.

Did you know: Homey is actually a DAD! In 2015, he sired a litter of English Staffies and became a doggy-dad to 6 pups!

Homey, along with everyone at Cutting Edge Engineering, has a big heart for Staffies in need. That's why all profits from our Homey-themed merchandise go directly to QLD Staffy and Amstaff Rescue, a registered Australian charity dedicated to improving the lives of Staffies.
This amazing team rescues Staffies from pounds and shelters, provides medical care and rehabilitation, and finds them loving forever homes. So, by sporting some awesome Homey gear, you're not just showing off your love for our furry mascot, you're also helping a worthy cause!

HOMEY’S WISH LIST
While Homey is a well-loved and cared-for pup with plenty of toys and treats, we understand that some fans might want to send him a gift. If that's you, we completely appreciate your thoughtfulness!

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate meet and greets with Homey as he is not in the office during office hours. He prefers to guard the home front during the week.

We try to share videos of Homey unboxing packages and playing with new toys as often as possible in our videos, but it isn’t a guarantee. We are however, more likely to do this around Homey’s birthday or Christmas.
